- How does this Temp-to-Perm work?
- After you give us the job description, Continental’s recruiters locate candidates that have the expertise and experience you need. You select the candidate(s) you wish to try, usually after an interview. Continental does the background screening and hires the employee. This employee is then contracted to you for a period of about 6 months. After the contract or temp period is complete, you have the option of hiring the employee as one of your permanent employees at no additional charge.
- What if I decide the employee is not a good fit after a few weeks or a month?
- That is not a problem. Simply contact Continental and we will terminate this employee and replace him or her with another employee. There is no additional charge to you for this service.
- What if I love the employee so much that I want to hire him or her before the temp period is complete?
- You can do this. You simply pay the pro-rated hiring fee that was quoted at the beginning of the assignment.
- Can you do just payroll services, or can you do HR as well?
- We customize our services to meet your needs. We can provide you with payroll services or a complete HR package.
- If I like my Temp, do I have to pay you to hire direct?
- You pay only if you hire the Temp direct before the Temp period has expired. This period and pro-rated hiring fees are quoted up front, before the employee starts.
- Do I get to pick the person I hire or do you do all the interviewing and just send someone to me?
- Most of our customers prefer to interview the candidate before we hire them, however if a customer has an urgent need, they may just ask for us to send them an employee and omit the interview. We can do whichever you prefer.
- How do you find the right person for me?
- We have a variety of methods to find candidates including Internet Job Sites, networking and our own internal database of candidates. Finding the right person for the job is what we do every day and we’ve gotten rather good at it!
- How do you take care of the time sheets?
- Employees Fax, mail or email their time sheets on a weekly basis.
- How will I be billed?
- Most customers prefer to get billed once a month. You will be billed at the end of every month and have 30 days to pay.
- How do I get started?
- Simply contact us by phone or email with your job request. We will take it from there.
- What if my employees need some equipment, computers, or tools?
- In many cases we will provide that equipment and include it as part of our monthly bill. This saves you up-front capital costs.
- How far away can you staff for me?
- We staff in the US and often send candidates abroad. With our Mexican staffing partner, we are also able to staff in Mexico.
- Can you handle managing all my staffing needs?
- Certainly. We do just that for several of our customers.
- Are all of your jobs contract jobs?
- No. Though we specialize in contract staffing, we also help our customers find direct-hire staff.
- Do you ever manage larger groups of on-site contractors?
- Yes. We can provide that service for you.
