Helped Aerospace firm start-up and launch a new business unit in Anderson, Indiana with assistance provided in site selection, facility leasing, equipment purchasing, and recruitment of skilled CNC machinists for transmission gear cutting. Worked closely with Ivy Tech and the state of Indiana Dept of Economic Development to secure $250,000 training grant for technical upgrades to Boeing and US Military Dept of Defense machining standards for transmission gears for Apache and Chinook helicopters.
Portable Primary Power Generators:
Spin-off from 4th largest Publicly owned Electric Utility in U.S. Assisted in raising of investment capital and with out-sourcing of all HR functions and recruitment of needed Technical Staff and Assembly Operators. Current product provided has world-class environmentally friendly (zero-emissions) natural gas or methane (bio mass fermentation) powered internal combustion electric generators.
Particlulate Filter Muffler for Diesel Engines:
Start-up firm with revolutionary new wire mesh filtration system designed for retro-fit applications for diesel engine exhaust systems. Target Application: Reduction of the 30-40% of worldwide pollution that comes from older diesel engine emissions. Assistance provided to Inventor/Founder in commercialization efforts with Grant Applications (21st Century Fund, state of Indiana), Facilities and Site Selection, Recruiting of Key Executives (CEO, VP Sales, Production Manager) and Production Personnel (Contract Employees).
Automotive Exterior Lighting Components:
Spin-off from GM/Delphi (1988) into independent Lighting Manufacturer. Assistance provided in outsourcing of key HR functions and Sr. Managers (135 Engineers) during reorganization and right-sizing of business unit in three locations (Anderson, Indiana; Monroe, Louisiana and Monterrey, Mexico). Assistance provided in Technology Development and Applications Engineering for CAD, Product development, Optical Design software and Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE).
